Working in Denmark

Work Conditions

Most Danish jobs have some basic conditions in common:

  • Good work-life balance, including a 37-hours work week with flexible hours and often some degree of working from home.
  • 5-6 weeks of holidays per year.
  • High salaries, which will allow you and your family a good standard of living.
  • Attractive pension schemes.
In Denmark there is time for outdoor activities

Work Culture

Danish work culture is characterised by higher degrees of decentralisation, freedom and responsibility compared to most other countries. Employees are expected to work independently and to be able to define their own jobs to some extent. This includes being able to see future opportunities and challenges and act on them. Working smarter is valued much higher than working harder
